Living Bedroom that Keeps Things Organic and Minimal: Dream Bedrooms

Ever thought about the concept of a living bedroom? It is a space that does much more than just give you a space to rest and rejuvenate. With sufficient sitting area and multiple seating options, this large bedroom can also function as a versatile living room across different seasons and changing styles. Designed by Studio Gabriel Bordin and displayed at CASACOR, the Cloud Nine Space is a concept that gives new, sustainable and stylish form to this idea of a ‘living bedroom’. Encased within a 40-square meter area, the bedroom feels refreshing, elegant and modern. A custom Cloud Bed was created by architect Gabriel Bordin for the project that adds to the sense of luxury.

Behind the bed one finds backlit panels made out of encased coils – the very coils that are a part of the comfortable bed. White is the color of choice in here with exposed ceiling in concrete left unaltered to give the bedroom an edgy appeal. A series of custom décor pieces, lovely chairs, bedside tables and bespoke built-in benches complete this bedroom where there is no shortage of storage space as well. Smart, adaptive and eco-friendly, this is a design idea that will help improve many small apartments and tiny homes across the world! [Photography: Fábio Júnior Severo]

The space was designed to produce as little waste as possible through minimal construction interventions since all amenities are to be removed at the end of the show. The whole furniture is modular, designed and built to easily adapt to other future projects, reducing post-event leftovers. The encased coil wall has become a practical solution by avoiding the construction of a wall…
