SYNC: Modular Seating System by Elliot Barratt

Take a look at the picture posted below. What do you think this is? Any clue? This is a low modular seating system. It is designed by British designer Elliot Barratt and named SYNC. As you see, there are nine separate cubes that make this one whole piece of furniture. Each cube measures 450mm x 450mm 700mm. The trick so simple, just select a cube you prefer to sit on. When the pressure is exerted on one cube, while sitting, it will go little down. The other cubes remain in the actual position, serving as arms and back rest. Pretty cool, right?

There are gas springs attached to each cube and they do the magic. The piece in the picture is really awesome – a combination of chocolate brown and cream, it truly reminds me of mix chocolates, dark and milk. Well, this trendy stuff is available in other shades too. You can choose from a wide range of upholstery. The base plate covers are also available in different varieties. These sitting cubes are so lovely that they suit your living space or office. If you are one those who love simplicity as well as uniqueness, this is one piece of furniture you should go for.
