ex-farmhouse with eclectic concrete and stone appearance

This remarkably modern and materially sincere building is a converted farmhouse and barn combination updated with concrete additions by the Swiss architectural studio Clavienrossier.

The upper floors feature walls of clean cream colored concrete, geometrically and diagonally folded toward the window frame, strikingly modern on the lower floor of rustic dark stone.

The roughness of stone is perpetuated in the interior to contrast with the smooth and comfortable surfaces of whitewash and blonde wood.

Given this play of textures and the inspired lighting of inner surfaces, it would be interesting to see this intruguing home fully furnished and accessorized.
