Mobile coffee platform combines prefab building with fast-food services

A Mobile Coffee Platform designed by California College of the Arts as part of a studio co-taught by Kory Bieg and Andre Caradec breaks the boundaries between fast services and fast construction. By mixing prefabrication and CNC technology with mobile food trucks, the team that worked on this project managed to construct a first prototype for a Mobile Coffee Platform.

The design team used Alpolic – a unique aluminium composite material manufactured by Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. – to fabricate a modern food pod that uses contemporary prefabricated technology in an effort to boost the design of over-used food trucks.

Don’t be surprised if this project will become a trend and you will be able to enjoy the modern response to mixing fast construction with fast food. After all, isn’t this what everyone is still searching for?
