Surprising renovation of an 80`s home in California

The Garfield Residence in the La Canada area of Los Angeles, California, underwent a contemporary remodelling and addition to a 1980′s house. The completion of this house brought a fabulous new look as well as powerful new features. Built on a 3,500 square foot lot, the Garfield Residence was renovated by Fer Studio, a Californian architecture and design firm. Large windows explore the connection between the outside and the inside, bringing natural light in and allowing the interior design to complete the exterior architecture. Neutral colours set the mood: furniture and walls, decorative objects and wood beams represent the nature inside the comfortable living spaces. The house opens up to the outside patio with a desire to mingle with the plants and fresh air. Natural ventilation insures a healthy environment while the interior design is simply surprising.
