The Doc XL sofa from Clei is a result of the design company’s belief that “the best ideas are moving.”

Plug-in Side table by Sung-Pil Hwang – can’t ask for more
Beehive inspired table by Hoon Roh
The beehive inspired coffee table by designer Hoon Roh is one of my personal favourites, although it definitely does not work easily into any living space.

Mesa, the Zaha Hadid designer table
Presented at the collectors’ fair in Basel, Switzerland, the Mesa table has Zaha Hadid written all over, even if you didn’ t know it was by her.

TIE Lounge Chair by Velichko Velikov
Bulgarian designer Velichko Velikov came up with a lounge chair that keeps away from the models we’ve been used with. Dubbed TIE, the chair was not only a simple idea that was fun to do, but is one that has managed to get our attention with its colorful appearance and the wide range of variations you can choose from. No word if any furniture manufacturers will start using Velikov’s new design or not, but if they do, we’re pretty sure they’ll blend perfectly with any modern environment you put it in.

Armchairs Redefined: Dounyasha Concept Lounge by Dima Loginoff
Designer Dima Loginoff has managed to surprise everyone with a new concept lounge chair dubbed Dounyasha. Meant to take your heart away with its colorful visual appeal, the new armchair has a striking silhouette that resembles elegance, yet makes it chic, at the same time. No word if or when the new Dounyasha Lounge Chair will make it to the production line, but kudos to Dima for such an amazing design and the fact that he’s been nominated as the Young Designer of the Year at the Elle Décor International Design Awards 2010.

Minimalist Agura Sofa by Hisae Igarashi
Looking for that perfect sofa in your living room but can’t find something to match the modern minimalist interior theme you went with? Check out the new Agura Sofa by Hisae Igarashi. Designed for SAJICA, the unique sofa and ottoman (which by the way, acts very well as a coffee table) are made from pure Japanese Igusa that not only makes it an eco-friendly product, but also adds elegance to the whole set. Other than looks, the Agura sofa is supposedly capable to adsorb the humidity in the room and can purify the toxic substances in the air, such as formaldehyde. Warm in the winter and cool for your tush during summers, the minimalist Agura sofa and ottoman will be shown at the upcoming IMM Cologne show in Germany. Guess that’s when we’ll know more on how much it costs.

Tracy Rocking Chair by Julien Bergignat
French designer Julien Bergignat is at it again, this time with a rocking chair that will sway you with a sense of comfort and amazement. Dubbed Tracy (quite a funny name) and created with material found locally, the chair is comprised of a steel base (taken out of an old tractor) and a pine-wood structure. It’s a great example of cool carpentry recycling that has turned discarded objects into a work of art, promising to redefine your home interior with a new meaning. And you’ll find it worth admiration for its unique lounger like comportment and the sliding shape it comes with. Upholding the French tradition of finding comfort in basic values, this inimitable chair deserves a place in your abode.

KEIL Stool by Daniel Heer
German designer Daniel Heer, keeping on with his familial tradition, seeks to unite dissimilar fabrics into uniquely modern furniture designs. What he offers this time is a cubic form stool dubbed as Keil. We find it nothing short of stunning as the height-adjustable furniture (you can change the position too) offers multiple uses. More to it, KEIL doesn’t have any pins inside as it’s crafted from oak, walnut, and pear wood for the frame and fabric straps, premium grade leather or nylon webbing for the seating part. While the use of resources is restrained to a minimum possible, the concept doesn’t compromise with the artistic appeal. We would love to bring it home for its absolute simplicity and originality.

Checkered Coffee Table by Svilen Gamolov
Bulgarian designer Svilen Gamolov has done a great job in impressing us all with his creativity and the stunning home decoration ideas he came up with. His latest work involves a conceptual design of a coffee table that literally took our breath away. Available in two versions, where one has the conical base, the other comes without it, calling it an average barstool won’t be justified since it can be used as a central table, a side drawer or simply, a dining board. The checkered anterior with some asymmetrical blocks seems to be a style statement for those who crave for irregularity in their furniture designs. Certainly makes it stand apart from others in the lot.
