Over the years, country music has become wildly popular, with many big names in the industry that have amassed a huge fan base across the globe. If you’ve ever wondered how well you could be paid as a country star, we’ve rounded up some of the most successful icons of the industry, and we’re about to fill you in on their net worths.

Reba McEntire ($95 million)

Reba McEntire is a legend in the country music department. The singer-songwriter-producer has been singing since her high school years and became professional when she signed with Mercury Records back in 1975. Two years later, she released her first solo album and the rest, as they say, is history.

Reba is currently signed with MCA Nashville Records. Aside from her series of successful albums, she has had her own TV sitcom, Reeba, and many other television and film appearances over the years. The star’s professional variety definitely explains her massive net worth.

George Strait ($300 million)

George Strait has an estimated net worth of $300 million. Why not? After all, he is the beloved “King of Country.” Throughout his four decades (and counting) in the industry, George has amassed 60 number-one hits and sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Wow!

In the 80s, Strait did a phenomenal job of bringing country music back to its roots. The 2000s was another big decade for him as he was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music and was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Strait is also known for his noble work in raising funds for many children’s charities throughout San Antonio, Texas.

Dolly Parton ($650 million)

Dolly Parton is no doubt an icon in the country music department. As one of the highest-paid country artists, Parton has been singing since 1964, along with her occasional acting gigs. She has received a staggering ten Grammy Awards (and 49 nominations), ten CMA awards, and five CMA awards.

Parton is godmother to Miley Cyrus and has been married to Carl Thomas Dean since 1966. Parton’s famous albums and songs, 110 charted singles, plus her digital downloads of more than 100 million globally, have made her the country name that everyone knows and loves. Let’s not forget that her net worth is insane.

Blake Shelton ($120 million)

Another musician whose name is synonymous with country music is Blake Shelton, the ex-husband of Miranda Lambert. Shelton emerged in the country music scene back in 2001 with his debut single titled “Austin.” His mega-success in the industry is due to his rugged good looks, manly voice, and of course, his powerful and charming onstage presence.

The nine-time Grammy Award nominee has a whopping $120 million net worth under his belt. Blake has charted 40 singles, 27 of which hit number one on the Country Airplay chart. Shelton was a star judge on NBC’s The Voice alongside his wife, singer Gwen Stefani. Blake and Gwen found love when they met on the singing competition show in 2014, and got married in July 2021. Their careers have grown exponentially since then.

Loretta Lynn (deceased – $65 million)

Deceased in 2022, Loretta Lynn was forever grateful to her spouse for a simple gesture that led to her fame and fortune. Back in 1953, her husband got her a guitar, and the rest truly is history. This instrument started what would be a 60-year career in country music for the singer-songwriter.

With such tenure in country music, Lynn’s list of awards and accolades is too lengthy to mention. Let’s put it this way – she released 48 studio albums and 25 compilation albums, with 160 songs that entertained the country music-loving community. That said, she left a net worth of $65 million upon her death.

Willie Nelson ($25 million)

We imagined that country music legend Willie Nelson would have a net worth ten times (or more) than what he currently has. However, Nelson didn’t do well when it came to his taxes. His assets were seized by the IRS as they claimed the superstar owed more than $32 million in back taxes.

Sadly, the amount Nelson allegedly owed consumed much of his earnings. The musician, actor, and activist is best known for the phenomenal success of his studio albums Red Headed Stranger and Stardust.

Taylor Swift ($1.1 Billion)

The youngest artist on our list is also one of the wealthiest country music singers in history. At the young age of 14, Taylor Swift moved to Nashville to pursue her dream of becoming a country music singer. She signed a deal with Big Machine Records and released her debut studio album. “Our Song,” the third single from the album, was one Taylor wrote herself.

Since then, Taylor continued to make one hit song after another, making her one of the biggest names in the entire music industry. Having garnered so much success, she soon branched out into both television and film. Her dating life tends to stir up headlines in the media too. In 2024, Taylor officially landed on Forbes’ billionaires list with an astonishing net worth of 1.1 Billion!

In a remarkable accomplishment, Swift stands out as the inaugural musician to achieve such a milestone solely through songwriting and performing. Unlike many entertainers who often bolster their fortunes through lucrative side ventures such as beauty brands, fashion lines, or alcohol investments, Swift's wealth predominantly stems from her artistic endeavors. This places her in a distinct category alongside artists like Bruce Springsteen, whose earnings largely emanate from extensive touring.

Of Swift's substantial fortune, over $500 million is attributed to music royalties and touring alone.

Kenny Rogers (deceased – $250 million)

Deceased in 2020, Kenny Rogers will always be remembered as a country music heavyweight. A proud and popular singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and entrepreneur, it does not come as a big surprise that the country superstar had an amazing net worth. By the way, his savvy business skills were to thank for a good part of his fortune.

Kenny Rogers produced more than 120 hit songs crossing over a myriad of musical genres. He was recognized as one of the most influential artists in country music history. Rogers was also a doting family man. In 2015, he announced that he was going to stop performing so he could spend more quality time with his wife and children.

Rogers passed away peacefully at the age of 81, surrounded by his family.

Faith Hill ($200 million)

Although there are people who suggest that Faith Hill’s music is closer to pop than real country, we think she is synonymous with country music. Hill is married to fellow country artist Tim McGraw, and together, they are considered one of the most famous country couples in history (alongside Johnny and June Cash).

Faith’s hit singles like “This Kiss,” “The Way You Love Me,” and “Mississippi Girl” are the reasons she has a net worth of $200 million to be proud of. Considered one of the most successful country music singers of all time, Hill has five Grammy Awards, 15 ACMAs, and six AMAs under her belt.

Trace Adkins ($19 million)

Trace Adkins has been in the music industry since 1996, so we had a hard time figuring out why he has a net worth of only $19 million. We’re thinking he might have secret assets, but apart from that, we can only assume this unexpected figure has to do with his lifestyle. After all, his career has been nothing short of amazing.

Throughout his music career, Trace Adkins has released eleven studio albums and has also graced the acting department in both television and film. He is managed by Capitol Records out of Nashville and has appeared on reality TV programs such as Celebrity Apprentice and Hollywood Squares.

Beyonce ($800 million)

She may not be first to mind when talking about legacy country music stars, but Beyonce's name sure was on everyone's lips when she released her country/western album in March of 2024. Cowboy Carter, her eighth studio album, was met with both critical and commercial acclaim by those who recognized her breaking the mold of what a country artist could be or look like.

The album also honors Beyonce's southern roots, with the singer having been born in Houston, Texas. She remarked on its composition, saying, "With artificial intelligence and digital filters and programming, I wanted to go back to real instruments, and I used very old ones. I didn't want some layers of instruments like strings, especially guitars, and organs perfectly in tune. I kept some songs raw and leaned into folk."

Shania Twain ($400 million)

This list wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Shania Twain. A natural talent, her hit songs like “You’re Still the One” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” introduced romantic (and feminist) tunes to the country music scene.

Twain’s $400 million net worth is a fortune she truly deserves for her immense singing talent and dedication to her craft. The popular country superstar has produced albums that have sold millions of copies, turning them from platinum to Certified Diamond, plus she’s a darling beloved by her millions of fans.

Conway Twitty (deceased – $14 million)

You may not know who Harold Jenkins is, but you surely know him by his stage name – Conway Twitty. During the early 70s, Twitty earned a series of CMA awards for his duets with Loretta Lynn. He was also inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame. In recent years, he has gained a reputation for being connected with Seth Macfarlane who used his performances in the animated sitcom Family Guy.

These references and features may be made in jest, but they only highlight the country music legend that Twitty was. The celebrated country musician had more than 50 singles that reached number one on the country music charts. He also earned two Grammy Awards over the course of his career.

Sheryl Crow ($70 million)

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - APRIL 02: Sheryl Crow attends

Arguably, Sheryl Crow is one of the biggest country rock female artists. The singer-songwriter-actress has released eight studio albums and has conducted countless tours in and out of the country. Her hit songs include “All I Wanna Do,” “Strong Enough,” and “If It Makes You Happy.” Also, let’s not forget that Crow has garnered nine Grammy Awards.

Sheryl Crow’s $70 million fortune is the fruit of her hard work, stunning talent, and the sale of more than 50 million albums worldwide. She’s had a number of high-profile romantic relationships. Her most famous one (which created headlines and presumably helped her album sales) was with dishonored cyclist Lance Armstrong.

Keith Urban ($75 million)

Keith Urban is the only non-American country singer on the list. The husband of award-winning actress Nicole Kidman was born in New Zealand and was raised in Australia. However, Keith is just as admired in the American country scene as homegrown stars.

His music career started back in 1999 with his first self-titled album, Keith Urban, that is now certified platinum. Over the years, he’s shown that he can release album after album, each one filled with phenomenal songs. He also made appearances on singing competition shows The Voice and American Idol. Keith has certainly made a name for himself, hence the $75 million net worth.

Jason Aldean ($80 million)

In 2005, Jason Aldean inked a deal with Broken Bow Records. Together with the record label, he has produced and released seven official studio albums and 24 songs. Aldean’s massive $80 million net worth, comes primarily from My Kinda Party, his quadruple-platinum album, and Night Train, his double-platinum album.

Aldean’s success is a product of his talent and hard work. Many of his songs have come tantalizingly close to the number one spot on the charts. As his amazing singing prowess continues to entertain fans, there’s no doubt that his current net worth will keep on growing.

Carrie Underwood ($140 million)

Carrie Underwood catapulted to fame on the musical competition show American Idol in 2005. When the world heard that powerful voice of hers and saw her blonde hair and adorable face, they were captivated. Unlike many reality TV contestants, Underwood’s fame never died out.

Carrie has released several successful albums with hit singles like “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “Blown Away” and “Before He Cheats.” Her many accolades include seven Grammy Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards, and 15 American Music Awards. In recent years, Underwood has become more independent in her music, tailoring her music to match the issues she’s most passionate about. It seems that endorsements, book sales, clothing sales and more have caused Underwood's net worth to skyrocket.

Leann Rimes ($10 million)

When LeAnn Rimes rose to stardom with “Blue” (certified multi-platinum) people could not believe she was only 13 years old. FYI, the charming and talented musician had been performing on stage since the remarkably young age of five. This means she was a seasoned pro by the time her mega-successful debut album was released back in 1996.

Rimes successfully transitioned into pop music thanks to her phenomenal song ‘How Do I Live.’ But she remains rooted in the country music industry, citing Reba McEntire and Wynonna Judd as her primary influences. Rimes has won two Grammys, three ACMs, and twelve Billboard Music Awards, among other prestigious awards.

Thomas Rhett ($5 million)

Country music is in the DNA of Thomas Rhett’s family. His father is no less than fellow country singer Rhett Akins. Thomas first tasted success when he co-wrote a song with fellow country artist Jason Aldean back in 2010. Less than a year later, he signed a deal with Big Machine Records and has since amassed a net worth of $5 million.

Thomas Rhett has released two albums – It Goes Like This (2011) and Tangled Up (2013). A $5 million net worth may not be massive compared to others on this list, it’s a great start for a country music youngster like him.

Alison Krauss ($16 million)

Winning talent shows opened big opportunities for then 10-year-old Alison Krauss. She recorded her first song when she hit the age of 14 and since then has made waves in the music industry. Her early start in the country scene earned her a net worth of $16 million at a young age.

The brilliant country star has an impressive portfolio. As a matter of fact, Krauss’s music was featured in the famous movie Brokeback Mountain which led to her performance at the 2004 Academy Awards. Did we mention that she has won 27 Grammy Awards? A round of applause for one of the most respected women in the industry!

Tanya Tucker ($60 million)

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - OCTOBER 30: Tanya Tucker performs onstage during Coal Miner

Tanya Tucker is one of the few child stars who has successfully managed to keep it together into her adult years. Her career is now four-decades in the making. That explains the huge net worth that she earned through hard work and vocal talent. At the young age of 13, the country singer-songwriter had her first big break with her hit song “Delta Dawn.”

Aside from her successful albums, Tanya has received two Grammy Awards, two CMA Awards, and three ACM Awards. Her hit songs include “What's Your Mama's Name?,” “Blood Red” and Goin' Down,” and “Lizzie and the Rainman.” She has two children with actor Ben Reed, and a daughter with Nashville musician, Jerry Laseter.

Patsy Cline (deceased – $10 million)

Patsy Cline was considered one of the first female rebels in the country music industry due to her strong personality. She paved the way for the country-music outlaws who rose after her. In addition to this, Cline is one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was regarded as one of the first country musicians to successfully cross over into the world of pop music.

Cline was only 30 years old when she died in a tragic accident. Bad weather conditions caused her plane to go down, killing Patsy and several other musicians. Her passing only boosted her reputation, and she is still remembered by many as one of the most important musical icons of the 20th century.

Wynonna Judd ($20 million)

The 1980s was a great era for mother and daughter tandem Naomi and Wynonna Judd. The Judds have released seven albums with Curb Records. This musical success rocketed Wynonna to fame, hence her $20 million net worth.

Following her mother’s retirement in 1991, Wynonna went solo and stayed with Curb. She continued to have a stellar music career and produced hit songs like “She Is His Only Need,” “No One Else On Earth,” and “I Saw the Light.” Her accolades include ACMA’s Top Female Artist Award in 1994 and several Grammy nominations.

Luke Bryan ($160 million)

We can’t imagine the world without Luke Bryan’s music. Yet it was only in 2007 that he signed with Capitol Nashville and released his first album. Since then, he’s been bringing stellar music to his growing fan base. The famous country artist has released over five successful albums, with five massive tours to match.

In the course of his music career, Bryan has developed an impressive portfolio which includes his wins from the American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. Indeed, Bryan is worthy of fame and his $160 million net worth.

After his service in the American Air Force, Cash formed his first band, The Landsberg Barbarians. Throughout his five-decade-long music career, he established a massive name for himself and has won 13 Grammys, eight CMAs, and four AMAs. Emmylou Harris is a country music legend. The recipient of 14 Grammy awards, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Harris is one of the most-loved artists in the country music industry. However, her musical roots are to be found in New York City’s Greenwich Village, where she performed folk songs.

In the early 1980s, Harris followed her heart and switched to country music. Back then, she recorded some of her most iconic works that include the famous Trio album with Dolly Parton and Linda Rondstadt. She’s a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Alan Jackson ($150 million)

With worldwide record sales of around $150 million, singer and songwriter Alan Jackson is regarded as one of the best-selling music artists of all time. As a reward for all his hard work, Jackson has amassed an impressive fortune of $150 million.

What’s even more impressive is his humble beginnings in a small house that was built around his grandfather’s tool shed. Jackson, a two-time Grammy Award winner, is greatly admired by many of today’s big country singers like the Zac Brown Band, with whom he collaborated for “As She’s Walking Away.” Who wouldn’t be in awe of this talented musician, right?

Miranda Lambert ($60 million)

Her famous songs include “Gunpowder & Lead,” “Famous in a Small Town,” and “More Like Her.” The singer-songwriter started out her music career back in early 2001 when she independently released her self-titled debut album.

Did we mention that the talented country singer’s albums have all been a huge success? For one, her fifth album, Platinum, won a Grammy Award for Best Country Album in 2014. Lambert has also been honored by the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. On a personal note, Lambert was once married to fellow country music singer, Blake Shelton.

Since 2006, the singer-songwriter has been touring almost every year and even managed to find the time to co-write and publish a book, Diary of a Player: How My Musical Heroes Made a Guitar Man Out of Me, with author David Wild. This guy is indeed talented! Brad Paisley is happily married to actress Kimberly Williams with whom he has two sons.

Sara Evans is a certified famous country star with a stunning $16 million net worth. The singer-songwriter rose to fame in 2000 following the success of her third studio album, Born to Fly. The album went two-times platinum, selling two million copies in the United States alone.

Evans has taken home awards from CMA, Billboard, ACM, and BMI. She has also collaborated with fellow country singers The Warren Brothers, Vince Gill, McBride, and Mindy McCready, among others. The mother of three has recently been performing with her children, Olivia and Avery, in their band called The Barker Family Band.

Garth Brooks ($330 million)

We have to say, Garth Brooks’ $330 million net worth is insane. FYI, he earned it fair and square. In fact, Brooks has been a part of the country music industry since his 1989 debut album. Since then, he has released 21 albums that are a blend of studio, live, and collections of either hit or holiday songs.

Between 2001 and 2005, he retired from recording and performing but came back better than ever in 2005, the same year he married musician, Trisha Yearwood. Considered as one of the best-selling music artists in the world, Garth Brooks has sold over 170 million records. Unfortunately, on April 30, 2022, Judd died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her home in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee; she was 76 years old. Randy Travis‘ distinctive soulful, baritone vocals were perfect for country music, which he’s been performing and recording since 1978. His father, a fan of Hank Williams and George Jones, encouraged Randy to pursue his musical talent. He did, and this decision led to him being the biggest country music star throughout the 1980s. His fame only started tapering off in the mid-90s.

Luckily, Hollywood opened doors of opportunities for Travis who enjoyed numerous appearances in films and television shows such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Touched by an Angel. Travis is the proud owner of seven Grammys and six CMAs and has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

He formed the Zac Brown Band, which initially consisted of himself, drummer Marcus Petruska and bass guitarist Jacob Lawson in 2002. The talented country singer has since released a total of five studio albums and produced hit tracks like “Drinkin’ Me Lonely,” “Who I Am With You,” “Gettin’ You Home,” and “Lonely.” Young’s most recent album, I’m Comin’ Over, is still keeping him busy with tours and promotions, despite the fact that it was released back in 2015.

In the end, he decided to pursue his passion for country music after co-writing a song with country star Kenny Chesney as well as two singles for Keith Urban in 2013.

We believe that Lee Brice’s low-key style is a musical gift that has contributed to his chart-topping hits. As a matter of fact, “More Than a Memory,” the song that he wrote for Garth Brooks, was the first song to ever debut as number one on the country music chart.

While his songs for other artists quickly made it big, it took a while for Lee to climb the charts on his own. Fortunately, he quickly made progress with the release of “Love Like Crazy,” which stayed on the Hot Country Songs chart for 56 weeks! That’s no easy feat!

Hillary Scott ($25 million)

Back in 2007, she and her bandmates released their debut single, “Love Don't Live Here,” which entered Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart in that same year and peaked at number three in the early part of 2008.

The band’s success has brought Hillary a huge fan base, plenty of fame, and a pretty fat bank account. A net worth of $25 million may not seem that big considering Hillary Scott is part of a Hollywood crowd that earns millions per day. However, considering she’s only been in the music scene since 2006, she’s doing pretty well for herself.

Charles Kelley ($25 million)

At just 23 years of age, Kelsea Ballerini’s accomplishment is nothing short of amazing. When she was 19, the Tennessee native inked a recording deal with Black River Entertainment. Her first single with Black River was “Love Me Like You Mean It,” and the result? Phenomenal.

The song was so highly appreciated that Ballerini sang it at the Grand Ole Opry in 2015. This year, the talented lady added even more feathers to her cap, earning two Academy of Country Music Award nominations and landing a spot on Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30 Music list. Keep slaying, girl!

He shares a lot of his wealth with philanthropic causes like supporting the V Foundation (a cancer research charity) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We’re sure 2006 was a remarkable year for Jake Owen. That was the time when he signed a record deal with RCA Nashville and released his first album called Startin’ With Me. Over the last ten years or so, Owen has established a massive name for himself, hence his healthy net worth. Five successful studio albums and two national tours were big contributors to his fortune.

Each of Jake’s albums produced a lot of hit singles, including “Something About a Woman,” “Eight Second Ride,” “The One That Got Away,” “Beachin’,” and “Tell Me.” We believe Jake’s charming demeanor is part of his success. Her stellar work has earned her three Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and three Country Music Association Awards. She was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and is a cast member of The Grand Ole Opry.

Yearwood has released 12 studio albums, all while juggling her successful acting career. She has appeared on shows like JAG, Nashville, and her hosting gig on Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, which earned her a Daytime Emmy Award. That said, this multi-talented artist deserves her net worth of $40 million.

Here’s the thing, Ashley McBryde’s precise net worth is yet to be publicized, but celebrity-centered websites presume that it must be around $6 million. The Arkansas native was told by her school teacher to let go of her dream of being a singer-songwriter as it would never prove to be a sustainable career. She was advised to choose a career in a different and safer industry.

Instead of taking this advice, McBryde proved to her former teacher that chasing her passion was going to be the greatest decision of her life. The up-and-coming musician has already earned a Grammy nomination for her album Girl Going Nowhere. Even better, she won New Artist of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards.

Tyler Hubbard ($25 million)

While it is common for aspiring musicians to relocate to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in the country music industry, Tyler Hubbard did the same thing for a different reason. He made the move from Georgia to Nashville to pursue his college education at Belmont University.

Once in Nashville, he met Brian Kelly, the man with whom eventually formed the country music duo Florida Georgia Line. Both Hubbard and Kelly were vocalists. Hubbard’s life changed drastically thanks to that meeting, and now, his net worth is $25 million! The duo’s 2012 debut single "Cruise" was downloaded more than seven million times and was the first country song ever to earn the Diamond certification.

Following the release of his debut album This One’s for You in 2017, American country singer Luke Combs has had a number of songs reach the number one spot on country radio. Fan favorites include "Hurricane," "When It Rains It Pours," and "One Number Away." Moving from success to success, Combs has enjoyed a bright career in the country music scene.

Luke received the Performance of the Year Award at the 2019 CMT Awards. The singer-songwriter is a pro at his craft, and this is why he continues to be rewarded for his talent and hard work. He was also a recipient of the 2019 Billboard awards for Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, and Top Country Album.

Darius Rucker is known as the lead singer of rock band Hootie & the Blowfish, but did you know that the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter also made it big in the country music scene a few years ago? Back in 2008, Darius signed to Capitol Records Nashville to pursue his career in country music.

In 2014, Rucker earned his third Grammy Award for his cover of “Wagon Wheel,” which became a four-time platinum-selling release. He is a close friend of Tiger Woods and even sang at the golfer’s wedding. Rucker has been married for nearly two decades to his wife, Beth Leonard.

Originally signed to Colt Ford’s independent label Average Joes Entertainment, Brantley Gilbert released his albums titled Modern Day Prodigal Son and Halfway to Heaven back in 2009. Two years later, he inked a deal with another independent label and continued to produce great country music.

Now, he is signed with Big Machine Records and he has released four albums with the label, earning him eleven country chart entries – four of which have hit number one. With such an amazing record, we’re sure his estimated net worth of $20 million will increase in the coming years. Gilbert has two children with his wife, Amber Cochran, a school teacher.

Haywood is one-third of the country band, Lady A, along with Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley. Haywood is responsible for the background vocals, guitar, piano, and mandolin. He was convinced by his middle-school friend Kelley to move to Nashville from Georgia to help the latter launch his music career.

After meeting Hillary Scott, the three guys then founded Lady Antebellum. The country music group has performed extremely well, earning seven Grammy Awards, six CMA Awards, and four AMA Awards. Their first three albums are certified platinum or higher by the RIAA. In 2012, Haywood married his long-time friend, Kelli Cashiola. The couple has two kids.

Kelley initially thought he was destined for a career in sports, but it’s obvious where he belongs now. The co-founder of the Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Hubbard’s partner in crime found himself leaning towards music as he grew older. He was already an incredible guitar player by the time he met Hubbard at Belmont University.

Kelley and Hubbard remained the best of friends throughout the years and continued to split their profits equally and generally do right by each other. This explains why Kelley’s estimated net worth of $25 million is a perfect match for Hubbard’s. Aren’t these two talented best buds sweet?

Lil Nas X ($7 million)

Montero Lamar Hill is widely known as Lil Nas X, but he never planned on being a country musician. Truth be told, the young star wasn’t sure what he wanted to do, but he enjoyed making funny videos for social media and his creations consistently went viral. 2018 was a big year for the singer-songwriter thanks to his country-rap hit “Old Town Road.”

The tune was a bold mashup of two disparate genres and remained the number one song on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for several weeks. The film clip features some amazing cameos from comedian Chris Rock and fellow country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Patty Loveless ($14 million)

Patty Loveless successfully manages her title as one of the most popular female singers of country, country-pop, and bluegrass thanks to her unique ability to combine the upbeat, hard-hitting tempo of honky-tonk with the melancholic, emotional balladeering of country legends such as Patsy Cline.

Back in the 90s, she faced her biggest nightmare when she was compelled to undergo throat surgery. Fortunately, Patty was able to recover her powerful voice. Though she’s toned it down a bit, the talented performer continues to make special appearances throughout the United States. Throughout her career, Patty has sold 15 million albums worldwide.

Gretchen Wilson’s debut single “Redneck Woman” became the unofficial anthem of proud Southern ladies. Wilson’s signature went on to become a phenomenal success in other countries such as the UK and Australia. It also earned the singer-songwriter a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance (2005).

Wilson has since created over a dozen other hit songs about modern country-loving women. Fan favorites include “All Jacked Up” and “Here for the Party.” Another reason why we love her is that when she’s off the stage, she is an active advocate of charitable organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Gretchen is a powerful woman indeed.

Gary LeVox ($60 million)

You don’t have to be a big country music fan to recognize Gary LeVox, the lead vocalist of country-pop trio Rascal Flatts. LeVox never imagined he’d one day be a global sensation when he was working at a local burger bar as a 14-year-old.

At the time, his rock star dreams seemed impossible. After starting an AC/DC cover band with his close childhood pals, he and his band were unstoppable. In case you don’t know, LeVox’s high-profile friends include actor and singer Jaime Foxx, who contributed to their 2007 album, Still Feels Good. This is a story of humble beginnings and immense talent that turned into a huge success. Well done, LeVox!

Matthew Ramsey is the frontman of Old Dominion. However, he actually started out playing drums before trying guitar at the age of 14. Needless to say, that’s the musical instrument his fans continue to associate with him, but we hope they recognize that Ramsey is also a talented songwriter who has written for fellow country stars like Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley.

The Old Dominion band was formed to showcase all the songs that were written by each of its five members. Their hard work and singing prowess paid off, with all that talent condensed into their first album – Meat and Candy – which sold 20,500 copies in its first week of release. Good job, guys!

As the younger sister of the country icon, Loretta Lynn, we cannot deny the fact that Crystal Gayle had a lot to live up to. Initially, she performed in the background of her sister’s band, but it was Lynn who persuaded her to establish her own musical identity.

With her sister’s guidance and her immense talent in country music, Gayle went on to produce several country-pop hits, including “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” She has won a Grammy Award, five ACM awards, and two CMA awards. The baby sister is now a big star on her own. Keep doing you, Gayle!

Like Ashley McBride, whose net worth is yet to be publicized, Scotty McCreary’s fortune is yet to be determined. However, it’s safe to assume it’s in the range of $1 to 5 million. Scotty became interested in music at just six years of age when his grandmother gifted him a book about “The King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley.

A decade later, McCreary would go on to become the youngest male winner in American Idol history. Since then, he’s charted on Billboard’s Country Airplay multiple times, with famous songs like “Southern Belle” and “This Is It.” We’re sure this young star has a bright future and a big net worth ahead of him.
