Charming Industrial House In Brazil With A Daring Splash Of Red

Unlike the many lavish residences that we stumble across in the US and in Europe, the homes from South America have a distinct flavor of their own. Most often, one sees these private houses adopt a trendy industrial style while featuring warm and inviting interiors that seem to be a natural extension of the canopy outside. The Casa Da Caixa Vermelha in Goiânia, Brazil takes on a similar form as its exposed raw concrete walls and black stainless steel beams give way to a chic, industrial vibe. Yet the lush green landscape that surrounds the house is a part of the modern indoors, thanks to the presence of large sliding glass doors.

Designed by Leo Romano, the house boasts a name that literally translates to ‘House of the Red Box’, and that is precisely what you get here. While the rest of the long, cubic structure is devoid of any color, the architects incorporated one large red unit that stands out visually from the outside. On the inside, the living room and the bedrooms of the house are visually connected with the beautiful backyard that also showcases a refreshing body of water and a spacious deck area. Considering the sweltering heat in the region, the presence of the pool almost seems like a must!

Interestingly, it is the bedroom and the kitchen that occupy the lower level of the house, while the top floor holds the living room and additional private quarters. The decor is kept as simple and minimal as possible without sacrificing comfort. Distinct and relaxed, the striking Brazilian residence oozes understated class!
