Hailed as Australia’s first “Super Lodge” by Tatler Magazine, the Southern Ocean Lodge unifies impressive architecture with the surrounding ambiance. Spread across over a 1,548 sqm are on the Kangaroo Island, the lodge has twenty one suites with sloping roofs — where every fourth suite slants obliquely, on a fixed pattern. Also, the green minded will be happy to know that the eco-friendly thingy is being taken care of using locally generated electricity, rainwater harvesting technologies, an organic waste treatment system, timber frames and the pebbled flooring.
